Grape Nuts are disgusting, and today the doctor advised me to eat a bowl of high-fiber cereal every morning, a salad for lunch or dinner and to work out 5 days a week for 30 minutes at a time. I guess I've let my lifestyle slip into too much fast food and sloth, doh.

Can anyone recommend a high-fiber cereal that tastes good? The only one I can think of is Grape Nuts, but those don't taste very good IMO.

The crunch flavor is good to change it up every now and then.

Just look for whole grain products, whole wheat bread is great, and brown rice too.

Oatmeal, etc, just remember if it's been processed, it's bad for you.

Bad for you as in not as good as unprocessed or bad as in not worth eating.

Just a warning - start with small amounts if you aren't used to a lot of fiber. Otherwise, you'll be stinkin' up the office while doubled over with cramps.

You need regularity? Weight loss? Doctor just thinks your diet sucks?

If you want strictly high fiber without a lot of calories then Fiber One is about the best for that. It's sweetened with nutrasweet and is a little better than All Bran to me. This may not be up to your taste demands though.

If you have to have a lot of sugar in the mix, a serving of regular old raisin bran beats Grapenuts for fiber. And it's fully capable of sending you to the toilet on a regular basis.
