Abit (for causing all friends I know that have one serious pain), Compaq, Gateway, and any other pre-made pc that is too expensive and uses low end components.

Remind me to check spelling.

Rambus, Acer, Compaq, Sony (their PC related stuff), and Matrox. I hate Intel's insane Sony-esque prices too.

Creative
Hercules(sound division)

That's really about it. ATI used to be on the list, but they seem to actually be TRYING, which I couldn't say a year ago.

Compuke, another one of my favs to hate. It's been awhile since i've been exposed to one. I refuse to own one, as well as refuse to work on them. For the money the owner is gonna spend, if they need a new proprietary mobo, I'll just build them a new machine. :)

Creative sound cards-drivers leave a mess behind you have to clean up by hand and aren't fixed/updated promptly.
ATI as their drivers aren't great and also leave a mess behind.
PC Chips/ECS/Matsonic and all their other sibling brands (Though against my better judgement, I might try a K7S5A).
Packard Bell (gone now in USA).
BTC (Behavior Tech))
Microsoft whenever possible on principle...
Zoom external modems (now includes Hayes brand).
.bh.

MSI (so far, only for the K7T Pro2-As that just died this year)

Creative (only for the poor Nomad II(0mb) firmware support)

Logitech and Microsoft (only for these optical mice that still aren't perfect yet, and for abandoning the true 3 button mouse, no wheel! I still use their stuff but I shudder)

IBM (Storage tech support for not even answering questions because my drive serial number was apparently OEM).

Gateway (For all those defective E-3400s with the Intel NLX board)

ATI (For all those troublesome Rage 128s)
Acer (mostly for their laptops)

Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony (only for overpriced consoles)

Squaresoft (for any game they didn't open up to all platforms, the characters in FF10, and allowing that FF movie)

Generic (for any problems I've ever had with generic ram)

Compaq, Dell, Gateway, IBM, HP (for daring to create and sell POS SOHO computers when their corporate lines are the only good stuff)

NVIDIA (only for not making the source code for Voodoo drivers available, I like my NVIDIA cards, but people with Voodoos should be able to have their fun too :()

Sony (It's hard enough to decide between compact flash and smartmedia, why introduce memory stick? why? why? why?!)

I probably have more in mind but I'm absurdly tired now.

ATI, although I haven't tried the new Radeon 8500, the original Radeon and the TV-Wonder I currently own were and are a pain in my side.
Creative, up till now anyway, their Live drivers drove me insane.
Lexmark, stupid printers always have bad quality photo prints, even with the photo cartridge, and I've owned 3 Lexmark model inkjet printers.
Apple, colorful doorstops and tissue boxes, although I do applaud them for some of their more innovative, or rather, some of their more bold moves since they're not the ones to come out with the technology, but only the ones who incorporates it into their machines, such as legacy free computers, DVD-writers, huge LCD's, etc.
Microsoft, even though I really have no choice other than to use their products, I try to use as many third-party products as possible, although I am liking WinXP a lot.
Pioneer, my stupid DVD-drive actually exploded.

Actually, for all that denounce ATI, I have to also put in a plug for them. In building systems for people who use them in office type environments, I love an ATI rage 8mb card, be it pci or agp. The reason for this is, excellent 2d, OS's since Win95b, load default drivers, which work well for that application. They even support some gaming. Don't dismiss all product, just because a few hardcore gamers don't clock up with them. All in all, ATI has done a good job, in what is the mass of their market. :)

Aren't they priced below production cost?

Creative is on my list. No drivers for my Live! Value in XP.

Eliteness in Crappy System board, for making worst piece of junk called K7S5A Athlon board

CMC Magnetics, for its low quality standard on their CD's. It OEM's CD-R media for many companies like Imation

Creative, for playing foul play by using high quality OEM source for reviews and switching over to crappy OEM source for rest of the production

Nvidia, for selling overpriced videocards that does nothing but accelerates gaming graphics

ABIT - Had a KA7 that sucked. Completely unstable and I wasn't even overclocking it. It finally fried and took the CPU with it. I'm done with ABIT. Sinse I've had an ASUS and a Shuttle board with no problems at all.

I have a couple of ATI cards. I love the features but have had some stability problems, but not as of late. Lately they have worked flawlessly. Probably in the past year or so I have had no problem with ATI. Great job ATI.

Hmmm
Delta- once bought 3 CD-roms (it was a heck of a deal) all 3 dead within 2 months . Still waiting for replacements (january- but not too concerned- what will I do with those POS anyway)

Abit- from what I understand QC has improved- but still unhappy over the massive problems the BH6 had a couple of years ago- imagine charging you for a defective POS RMA....

Packard Bell - Thank god their gone.... but...
Compaq lives on

HP Deskjets- the old ones were fairly good- newer ones are real POS- some folks I know will go through one in less than 6 months
