Maybe I should just forget the dress shirts for this summer; am travelling to Europe for study abroad and we'll be visiting about 13 different cities while we take classes.

Khaki shorts and rolled up sleeves?

In the last week of dressing nicely I've noticed the huge effect style + confidence + being in shape has on the ladies. Just looking for a way to take this with me to Europe while not burning up/sweating like crazy.

Why would you "pop your collar" with a button-down shirt? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of buying a button-down shirt? You do know that a button-down shirt has buttons on the collar that button the collar down? Maybe you, and it seems like a lot of other people in this thread, are confusing this with a button-up shirt, otherwise known as a dress shirt. Then again, maybe the op wasn't aware of the destinction. The only difference between the two is the buttons on the collar.

i cant say anything in specific about dockers or van heuseum simlpy because they dont offer the slim/modern fits for me to buy.

however, i have owned, or currently own, dress shirts from alfani, banana republic, gap, nordstroms, calvin klein, perry ellis, jos a banks, express, lands end, kenneth cole, ralph lauren, and more, and 95% of the time i wear BB because it looks cleaner, sharper, just better. i actually threw away most of those shirts at one point during my last move. if i add up all the $20+$30+$40+$50 shirts that i bought, they cost way more than a 75$ (retail) BB shirt that i actually wear all the time



now what i need to do next is convert my work pants to non-iron BBs.......



 
charles tyrwhitt, but i am getting my shirts tailor made from now on, nothing freaking fits me.
