Started reading the books in the "When The Tripods Came" Series. Awesome :) I read them back in fourth grade, and I still like them :)

Really good book. Makes me want to take up comic books. :)

My only complaint is that it's long, and the descriptions sometimes feel a little long.

oh crap!
i was reading that book and then left it in my trunk and forgot about it.
thats the peril of reading 5+ books at a time.

pick it back up, it's excellent

Got a ton of books from a friend states side, been reading them quite a bit.

Stainless Steel Visions by Harry Harrison -- The story The Streets of Ashkelton totally floored me.
Operation Luna and Operation Chaos by Poul Anderson -- Once you finally manage to track down a copy of Chaos you'll see why people don't give it up. Really great books for an alternate history in which magical forces existed in our world.
Violence of Action by Richard Marcinko -- 10th book in the Rogue Warrior series, finally some fresh material. For those of you who like RL war stories, get the first book. Funny and loaded with action and politics.
Anonymous Rex and Casual Rex by Eric Garcia -- Totally and completly hilarious. Seems dinosaurs didn't die off, are just disguised and living amongst us. These books follow an dino PI though some very interesting adventures.

Currently reading:
The Stress of her Regard by Tim Powers -- Easily one of my favourite authors. Always gives superb blends of fiction and mystisism. The main charcter is persued by some manner of melavolent spirit.
On Stranger Tides by Tim Powers -- Pirates of the Carribean comes out and I end up finding a copy dealing with undead pirates.
The Exordium series by Sherwood Smith and Robery Trowbridge -- From what I've head, this is space opera at its finest. It's was also the biggest b!tch to put together! Positive, glowing reviews by everyone who had read them, and they only get a single print run each. I'd been looking for book 4 of 5 for over a year and half before finding one. (And had been laughed at by book sellers when I asked for it)

War and Peace - Leo Tolstoy

Andrei Bolkonsky is my favorite character. Nikolai Rostov was cool til he went back home and turned into a complete imbecile.

Re-reading Cavern of Black Ice by J.V. Jones and getting prepped for when the sequel Fortress of Gray Ice comes out on August 1st. :D

Also re-reading Aztec by Gary Jennings (one of my favorite writers) and The Compass of the Soul by Sean Russell. After that, I've got Dreamcatcher by Stephen King and Mexico by James Michener to read before I return them to the library.

Reading Rousseau's Social contract and Machiavelli's The Prince. Work is really boring when everything is working well...
