Navy Federal Credit Union (largest CU in the world) and USAA. I have nothing but good things to say about both of them.

Royal Bank of Canada.

They suck really bad, and I am switching to Amicus Bank very soon, as they have no fees whatsoever, and their loan rates even beat my credit union.

An example of Royal's suckiness? Car loan rates there are 9.75%. Who are they trying to fool? I can get an UNSECURED personal loan at 5.25% at Amicus. Not to mention that they nick me for ~$50.00 in fees every month, and every time I have gone to the bank for something, they hassle me, and I end up arguing with the manager. :|

Man WTF are you doing that they do this? They have packages where you pay a set fee for interac a great number of times and stuff. Stop moving your money around so much :) Interac sucks anyway - use credit card!

N8Magic - $50 a month in bank fees? That's what 5 cents US? :D

Seriously though, that's a lot of money. Washington Mutual here in the US is loved because they're one of the few large banks who truely offer "FREE CHECKING" with absolutely no strings attached. If only they had better online banking.

Skoorb and RossMAN,

They nail me so bad because I rarely carry cash, and end up paying a lot of Interac fees. I'm on the $11.95/mo plan, and that STILL doesn't cover the fees.

At least with Amicus, there will be no fees, and I can do any serious banking I need to at any CIBC location.

Used to work for them and never bothered to shop around after I left.

<< Hey N8Magic,
What's Amicus ? I'm curious...never heard of it.
>>

Amicus is the parent company/fancy name for President's Choice Financial. Check out their website, you'll be impressed... a couple of my friends switched over, and they have nothing but good things to say about it.

If you have Loblaw's stores out there, they have PC Financial Pavillions in the stores, or you can go to CIBC.

I'm with Union Bank of California. I got a special deal when I was in San Diego with their "Charger's Pack", so even though I save money I have these God-awful Chargers checks. Now people mistake me for a fan or something. Grrrr.

Thanks, N8Magic! :)

I knew PC was owned (or subsidized) by CIBC, but I hadn't heard of Amicus. I'll check it out.
