What are your thoughts on Satanists?

Satanism: A philosophical movement which believes that each person is responsible for himself. One does not need external help to be successfull and reach happines. Bsically it's about self-empowerment.

Yeah.. my personall beliefs really match satanism... the belief was named satanism only to piss off the church... not because of any liking of satan.. or even disbelief of god

most people worship satan and they don't even know it. who do think inspired the bible and calls himself god? actually, he's fake just like god. the whole point of satan is to push people towards god. everything is only either right or wrong with feable minded sheep.

Satan worshipping: A religion where people worship the antichrist/satan/Lucifer. Followers of this religion are know to be involved in ritual-sacrifices (anumals usually), orgies, desturction of religious sites etc.

Why is satanism then called satanism if it has nothing to do with Satan (as we know him from the Bible)? Basically, because satanism is in many ways opposite of the christian way of thinking. IN christianity they believe that you need outside help to be saved (you need Jesus). In satanism they believe that you only need yourself.

There's nothing at all wrong with satanism I can find several things in it that I agree with. But there's plenty of thing that are wrong in satan worshipping.

lemme guess... the same pitifully flawed logic you just used to reach a wrong conclusion about me is the same type of flawed logic you used to think there is a magical god and a fancy afterlife just waiting for you, and on top of all that, you just so happened to choose the correct god out of all the 1000s of them even though you didn't even bother to read about every one (it's just your eternal afterlife and happiness you know). bonus points for attributing my comments to age and academic level.

Satan brings self corruption and sin. Satan is obviously tied to the bible and since they belive in Satan, then they have a glimpse of the aspect of the bible. Thus upon death they would be judged and sent to hell. Why would anyone want that if they can grab the full concept?

Maybe they do what catholics do, interpret the bible to make it fit their own views?

BTW, the bible says that satan is bad and corrupted, ever think that it might have been written by the real satan to bash the satan in the bible, whoever he was/is?
God damn idiotic people cant even pull their heads out of their own asses long enough to figure/judge things for themselves. If one has to look up some book written by a bunch of con artists everytime one wants to tell good from bad then he/she has gotten more problem than just cant tell the difference between satan and satanism.

Oh, I believe in God and I would be pissed off if I were him. Stupid people and their stupid deeds all in his name.

Disclaimer: I'm NOT a satanist myself. I do agree with them on some issues, but satanist I'm not. I consider myself to be agnostic.

Can you trust the bible, since it was obviously written by people who worship God? Since bible says that you can only be saved by believeing in jesus, then why are there millions and millions of people who do not believe in Jesus? Bible is not the and all be all source when it comes to religion. It is that to christian and jews (and to some extent, muslims), but it doesn't mean that it correct and every other religion is wrong.
