Example of what I call "White People"

white with no culture too.

:D I am definitely "White People" with some "red people" mixed in...

I've had tofu served in Japan, Okinawa, Thailand, the Philippines, and (I think) in Vietnam. All were different preparations, different flavors, but tofu...and it has (for me) something of an unpleasant texture. I realize it's just soybean curd (basically) but I never cared for it.
I've had the privilege of some of the best food the different Asian cultures offered...and some of the worst. (and some that probably doesn't count as food...just raw materials for a turd.) But I ate it rather than offend a host, often for whom, what they fed my squad and me, consisted of a week's worth of their food.

To this day, I have a very intense dislike for rice of any kind. I'll eat it...but I DO NOT like it.

If you want to eat tofu...by all means, have my portion while you're at it. I'll have a burger, a steak, some yardbird, but no tofu thankee velly muchly.

No culture...that's fucking hilarious...

I did not say anything about culture less, that is just DLeRium. My interpretation of a "White Guy" is the annoying tourist in your tour group who orders filet mignon everywhere they go and then bitch the local food has no variety.

Fortunately, that ain't me...I laugh and shake my head at people who go to strange and exotic new places, (even if it's only Hawaii) then hit the local McDonalds and Burger King...

While there may be some foods I just refuse to eat under most circumstances, I always embrace trying new foods, especially when I'm travelling.

BUT, I still prefer to have my tofu on your plate...:p

In my experience, that depends on the consistency of the tofu you're using. The denser, less watery varieties will tend to hold their (cubed) shape, as long as you're not a ninja attack stir-fryer. ;)

I don't call those tofu :) And if you are not doing ninja attack, you are not stir-frying. You are braising.

Your tofu is not on my plate

Don't worry, I will not force you to eat tofu, as long as you don't force me to eat haggis.
