where did you quit?
if you didn't like NOLF2, i can't imagine you liking the original . . . . i liked em both . . . . they took awhile to get "into" (about the 3rd or 4th level for NOLF and frankly i found it a bit "long") . . .
heck, DE took me forever (for a FPS) to get into - 3 or 4th level - . . . the second one only "took" in the 2nd level (and it's a sequel - you know how to play already.
the ONLY games that pulled me in right away were HL, Serious Sam, Max Payne and maybe Unreal (sequels don't count) . . . OtOH, KotOR took TWELVE (12!!!) hours for me to get interested (and "worth it", i might add)
Just 'cause you give up easily doesn't mean the game is UNworthy
I played the demo and played a bit of the second level in the demo. It wasn't particularly fun to play or challenging, but fighting wasn't fun at all. It was sluggish and unfun. Story wasn't particularly intersting either.
Oooh, I tried the demo for Star Wars: Republic Commando - awsome. Love the gameplay.
In my opinion, if a game doesn't pull you in from the beginning, then they did a bad job. If it's a btch to pick up and play then that contributes to less sales, meaning they did a bad job.
