I mentioned that Jeremy Soules did one of my favorite soundtracks - Total Annihilation, but after that as he has become the top game composer, it seems to me like all his soundtracks are airy, not good soundtracks. I have a hard time understanding the appeal anymore. Does anyone really hum the theme to Skyrim?
For a single scene, I loved the marijuana field burning in Far Cry 3. I generally don't like EDM or dub (I mean REALLY don't like) and was amazed to find that I had been rocking out to Skrillex for that scene (and loved it!).
I also seem to recall generally really liking the soundtracks to the original Quake.
Most of the songs in Full Throttle comes from The Gone Jackals 1995 album Bone to Pick. You can get it off iTunes. Not sure if it's still available on CD. The band hasn't been around in a long time. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/bone-to-pick/id74340247
