a downpayment. eventually. Right now I'm setting aside around 14k/yr but I think I'm going to wait for a decent amount of time before I sink it into anything. Hopefully I'll find a cheap townhouse or condo (~130) in about 3.5 years.

Me too. Although I'd like a bigscreen tv, new car, etc. etc. I have what I need for now and am quite content so I just want our savings to grow.

I'm saving for one of the first year Dodge Vipers as I think they are some sexy b!tches. I've already got two impractical vehicles, may as well add a third. :D

Saving for a house. I am tired of living with relatives. I am also saving for my retirement/health insurance later in life. My mother had many complications when she got older, and didn't get the highest quality care because we lacked money. I am not going to let that happen to my family. Since you get the best return by starting early, I have lots of different savings/investing accounts accruing since my mid-20's.

Saving about $1000/month for a house. I have no liabilities at the moment, I own my car and have a steady job so I should be able to make a nice 20-25% downpayment in the next couple years. :)

Let's see, the wife wants a $320K house in a better part of town, then in six years she wants me to retire and move to Arizona or Nevada.

It would be cheaper to get a new wife, if she wasn't making half of the money.
