Saving to pay off my student loans..

Though in the past month and a half, I've bought an iBook G4 [$1200] and roughly $700 worth of snowboarding gear.. x_X

hehe, saving money = buying $700 equipment you could do without? hehe

Can't do without it.. well, I could if I wanted to continue to rent a snowboard/boots/bindings.. but I wanted my own stuff for this winter :\

And besides, I'm still in school.. another 3 years till I have to make my first payment on my loans.

Not really savings, but cutting down on cc debts and interest expense. Paying down gov student loans. Planning for trip down to US next summer. Not really as tight with my finances as I should be.

So that I have something to fall back upon.
Trust in the lord and he shall provide.

Isn't that the truth.

My friend and his wife recently got married and moved down to Kansas City so he could get his masters. His wife just got a job but wasn't going to get a check for 2 weeks since she started at the beginning of the pay period.

Well, they were down to $27 in their checking account (no savings!) and weren't sure how they were going to make it to payday. Out of the blue they recieve a $100 check from a family that goes to a church they visited this summer. The family included a note saying "Thought this might come in handy, sorry for being late in sending it." Perfect timing 😉
