I think the visuals still hold up today thanks to the art style. It's not stunning but still looks very good for a nearly 14 year old title. I actually had a lot of fun with it on my replay, and it's one of those games you can get through in a reasonable amount of time, even if you want to do some of the extra objectives and collectibles etc. I think the follow up is great too, but there's something I like more about the OG.I've had in mind replaying Dishonored 1 for a long time. I originally played it on an old card for the time (GTX 280) and had to turn down many settings.
I see what you did there.Getting super bored with Spiderman Miles Morales. Loved the combat and the speed of traversal in Spiderman 2018 but this just feels like the same game except it's Christmas instead of summer in NYC. It's spectacular graphically with amazing RT reflections and I'm far enough in the game I want to finish it but I'm also not too motivated to play it, as the storyline of Miles, Ganki, and Phin isn't doing much for me. On the other hand my 7 yo nephew goes nuts playing every time he comes over, but he hasn't played the virtually identical Spiderman 2018.
I see what you did there.
The stories get progressively worse as the series goes on IMO. I am far removed from the target audience though.
On game play: Miles feels more OP to play than Pete, as the game goes on. I like the enemy classes a little more in MM too.
On graphics: Coney Island in Spider-Man 2 is a night level, and it has the best visuals of the series so far, IMO. They also upped the ante on the inside of rooms you see through windows of buildings. Adds a bit more immersion.
This is my favorite series for testing CPUs. I end up playing a few hours just to swing around and throw down. I will never get tired of how good the swinging mechanics are. I remember playing Spidey 2 on OG Xbox and how stoked I was to web-sling. All these years later, it is still fun.
As to what I'm playing: Another play through of Shadow of Mordor. Up next is the sequel. Nemesis system is addictive. I laugh sometimes when a captain smack talks me, and suddenly another captain I already killed will show up with a big iron plate riveted over half their head or something and call me out for leaving them FUBAR.
Your typical Savagery build can nuke 95% of the game's content without much issue. In fact, the vast majority of the game's content can be completed with most "jack of all" builds.Running around smashing things is what I can cope with right now. All the crafting and optimizing is way beyond me
Yeah I'm just completing everything, and only if I'm really careless in some boss fights I go down.Your typical Savagery build can nuke 95% of the game's content without much issue. In fact, the vast majority of the game's content can be completed with most "jack of all" builds.
how's Tainted Grail coming along? how far did you get? Liking it?Trained grail, and crimson desert. I cannot put crimson desert down. It's fantastic.
It is fun, I'm a sucker for FPS fantasy and it does it well. A few reviewers have likened it to an advanced Skyrim DLC and I can't entirely disagree but that's doing it a bit of a disservice, it has great lore, incredible atmosphere/je ne sais quoi/aura (if you're a teenager). I'm playing something of a necromancer, more of a natural evolution of 'use stacking bleed spells because I'm weak as shit and this trash is very powerful' and 'man these summons are great at distracting things'. I can imagine having just as much fun with 'haha 2h goes brrrr' and 'eat more of this food instead of vendoring it'. I've roughly discovered half of the first island. I will say I absolutely LOVED the first real 'choice' you get coming out of the tutorial dungeon which seems to heavily diverge the rest of the plot, unless i'm massively misreading things.how's Tainted Grail coming along? how far did you get?
