For all the college people/alums on here...what are you majoring in?

Moi: Chemistry on a Premed Track, possibly double majoring in Chem Engineering if there is enough time for that.

did everybody here end up in your major the first time you went to college or did you switch a couple of times. i am really scared of not knowing what to do when i graduate HS.

Then don't declare a major when you first go to college. Get all your general courses out of the way until you find out what it is you want to do.

there aren't that many overlapping courses in the higher levels, and both majors have big workloads

I am sticking to my major orientation no matter what now. I know my roomate switched his 4 or so times during his first year. 3 times between different types of engineering and after he dropped Calc 2, he switched to Finance all I have to say is what a puss...

Haha I know, that's why I said if they'll be enough time. Starting Junior year, the premed track and Chem already differ alot. I'm currently a Sophomore by credits (close to being a Junior) and this next fall I'll be entering my Sophomore year here at UF. If I have to take Circuits for Chem Eng., I'll pass right away. Heh supposedly that's the toughest eng. class there is.

Major: History
Minor: Religious Studies (ie, study of world religions, mythology, folklore, etc., NOT "Bible College")

Started out as a Fine Arts Major, but my freshman history classes were really interesting and led to my switch sophomore year.

Exercise and Sport Science, accepted into graduate school for my Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Didn't bother with a minor.

Chem Eng here have to take a 'Circuits for Non-majors" course which is probably just a slightly easier modification of the EE circuits course.

I'm in my 3rd year of college but I'm not sure if I have enough credits to technically be a junior but I should by the end of this summer. Oh, majoring in Compouter Engineering.

started off doing computer engineering, switched over to comp sci halfway into it...BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. The jobs for CS majors just suck over here, at least that's what I can say about my current job and the job I was offered elsewhere...

I definitely want to go back and finish getting my engineering degree...

there is not time for that...i'm chem e and i take about 15 hours of plain chem and 60 of engineering that chem majors don't have to take. at my school anyway, that would take 190 or more credit hours
