Finance. My only recommendation is that you don't follow me. The major was tolerable, but jobs in Finance suck the life out of you and make a person long for the sweet release of death.

Computer Science major. Great to see what I can do even on my own, made some small-ish games, other cool little apps, get paid to code now at my coop job and career outlook is good with my school + coop experience + grades.

Not being able to find a software dev job is a load of shiat if you go to a good school and have good grades. Some companies must look hard for qualified people.

As far as this business major is concerned, you guys are wiser. I took the road of practicality and convenience and ended up in a very unsatisfying place. Do what you enjoy. If you enjoy it, that's enough. The rest will work out.

did everybody here end up in your major the first time you went to college or did you switch a couple of times. i am really scared of not knowing what to do when i graduate HS.

Then don't declare a major when you first go to college. Get all your general courses out of the way until you find out what it is you want to do.

BAD idea, in many cases you'll have prereqs for classes that if you don't start early then you'll be behind.

Declare your major soon, preferrably in the first semester or two.

A lot of people change their major a few times, by taking the general ed classes you get to figure out what you enjoy and get your gen ed requirements out of the way. If you declare to early and decide to change your major, you waste time on those pre reqs and majors classes. Spend freshman year figuring out what you want to do (unless you're already certain) and declare sophmore year.

Business Management w/ a concentration in Operations & Supply Chain Management.

BTW, chose your major carefully, changing sucks. I would honestly keep the major regardless of whether you hate it or not. I can't count the English or (insert other random major here) majors I see in IT departments, business roles, etc.

Your major can honestly have no bearing on your career unless you want it to.

My major is geography. I bet I'm the only one in this thread!

I've had people ask me what the difference between geology and geography is AND what the difference between history and geography is.
