Mostly I just look for "great deals" whatever they are, there really aren't a whole lot of things I much feel a really pressing need for...
Not having seen any earth-shaking deals, I have been holding off on buying a living room TV for the past couple of months in anticipation of the holiday shopping season (and I'm not real picky about that, I only want a relatively small, "weak" one by today's standards - ≤ 50", 4K nice, but by no means necessary, would actually prefer "dumb", but don't expect to find such a thing at this point)... Oh, and if I can find a 24" at a really good price, I wouldn't mind replacing the 28" set I currently have in the kitchen, which is small, so the 28"er is kind of overwhelming in there (but ironically was much cheaper than a comparable 24" anywhere around the time I bought it.) I could use a decent (again, "basic") BD player, too... I haven't felt a pressing need for either and none of the sales I've seen over the past few months have struck me as noteworthy. Given that those items are perennial "doorbuster" favorites, I've basically been counting/planning on using credit card price-matching to take advantage of that. Which reminds me, I have to start researching the fine points of those policies..
