given that my boyfriend's birthday is like the day before Valentine's Day, I feel like the onus should be on him to plan something for v-day since I'm already planning for his birthday, but I think all the planning will be on me anyways.

I originally thought that we weren't going to do anything since we'll both be out of town (separately -- he's going on a cruise and I've got a training seminar to attend for work), but yesterday he was like "we should do something for Valentine's Day after I get back, but I have no idea what."

I might do a compromise date -- take him out to dinner, but to a restaurant that I want to go to, since I took him out for burgers for his birthday
