I don't like hard pretzels at all. I don't mind them wrapped in chocolate & caramel tho:

HOWEVER: Dot's came out with a new line of pretzel sticks. They are basically mini, crunchy breadsticks and they are AMAZING! Literally the ONLY hard pretzels I will eat! Get the red bag of original flavoring:

I don't think I purchased anything in particular on BF, but in the week leading up, I was purchasing some computer parts as they went on sale. After 6.5 years, it was time for my Skylake desktop to be largely transplanted into my HTPC (which will have its own guts retired) and rebuild my desktop with something newer.

I took the day off & went out for about 9 hours with a buddy just to hang out & get some food & maybe do a little shopping because I haven't had a true day off in forever lol. Zero lines anywhere. No good sales anywhere. Just like a normal store day's worth of people. I went to the mall for the first time in ages. A third of the stores were permanently closed. The food was terrible:

1. Got Wetzel's pretzel bites for the mall walk. Missed the timing & got the heat lamp ones. Was like eating rubber.

2. Got the famous mall Japanese chicken teriyaki. Used to be AMAZING. They cheaped out...no MSG, sugar, salt, pepper. It was just like plain store-bought teriyaki sauce on top of incorrectly cooked chicken. Pressing F for my fallen lunch comrade.

3. Got dessert at Cinnabon, the 4-pack of Mini's. We both ate one, looked at each, and threw the rest away lol. Even Pillsbury's canned cinnamon buns were 10x as good. The frosting tastes like how the inside of an Oreo tastes now, just kind of sugary & processed rather than really good.

I'll do another mall walk in another 5 years LOL. Went to a few other places (Home Depot, Lowes, Costco, Aldi's, etc.), no real deals anywhere. Got a few groceries. No traffic on the highway. No filled up parking lot lines. Best Buy had hundreds of feet of security rails for waiting in line, nobody was there. I did see another 8K TV there & holy moley it looks 3D from the detail lol. It was funny because the digital directions & advertising kiosk at the mall had a hard drive crash & no PXE boot for back up haha...it was the Space Odyssey 2001 monolith but by Bill Gates:

Didn't really buy anything as we got new shoes and jackerts a few weeks ago.

Howevr, my son's computer started to have power issue on Blac Friday (coincident???). Checked and that old power supply in his syetem was finally going bye-bye. I swapped out mine PS for his, so he could continue working on his MUN stuffs.

Well, just ended my Amazon on Thanksgiving day.. Drove to nearest Best Buy and see what i could find, but they only have $120 bucks above 700W. Too much $$, wife disapproved.

Off to Altex near I-35 at 4:45pm. Crapped, got there and they just closed shop.

Reactivated Prime and ordered a Cooler Master 450W (on sales and $10 rebate). Could have goen to Newegg but Prime was faster.

At least he got a new PS now.

Ahh...looks like they came out in 2012 & got acquired by Hershey's last year, so apparently they're not new, but rather the marketing budget has gone up, which is why I'm seeing them in my area now lol:

Meanwhile ALL 3 sets of Logitech speakers (which are a MINIMUM of 17.5 years old!) ALL work exactly the same as the day I bought them.

Still love my Logitech Z-2300 2.1 that I bought in 2006, connected to my PC (and now PS5 also) and basically have never been turned off since. Still sound way better than my Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 (the good version, not the crap new Bluetooth ones) that I bought in 2017 and have on the TV I put my PS3, Switch, PS2, and SNES Classic on.

Had to laugh seeing the Z-2300 on Amazon for prices like $700 to $1400 considering I think I bought the set for like $120 from Circuit City in 2006.

Funny... I have the exact speakers in use on my backup PC! (purchased from Comp USA in 2004 I believe?)

I was going to buy a phone. Yet it's still in my cart. I can wait a couple more weeks. If it goes out of stock, or increases in price I'll regret waiting. End of the year is my deadline.
Ideally, next payday passes, while the phone's price drops - then I'll buy with pleasure.
Just might buy it today though.

Was a great time when you had Circuit City, Compusa, Best Buy, and Fry's competing with each other. Now it's just Best Buy with the worst selection of the four if I want to buy computer hardware in person.

And the closest Best Buy is 75 miles away from me.

Anyway, Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend has been pretty disappoinging for me. The Arctic Freezer II (240) I wanted has gone from "$91 less a 10% couponvand free Prime shipping" 2 weeks ago, to over $100 + ahipping as of this a.m.
I'm still trying to decide on a decent soundbar to replacy my dying Sony I bought in early 2014. There are some deals...but ut seems like the ones that are "best in my price range" all have wired surround satellites. Those are problematic in my living room.

I miss CompUSA. Nobody really sells hardware parts where I live...Best Buy has a SUPER limited selection. I just have to keep a personal supply of everything from SATA cables to spare NVMe drives to whatever. Fortunately Amazon delivers pretty quick!

I'm fortunate to have a microcenter within 20 miles. If not for them, it would be bestbuy or an office store for common stuff, or sol for more esoteric things.

Emporia is having a sale on their EV charger. $100 off MSRP so I snagged one. It gets really good reviews for the price and should be a great match for the Mach-E I have on order from Ford.

There was a time when I camped out for BF....in Augusta, GA. Had a BB, CUSA, and CC all within a two minute walk. Used the wife to hold a place at BB while I camped CC and did the midnite CUSA sale while waiting. That was an interesting year.

I'm 86 miles from the Duluth store, the closest I've ever lived to a MC. Used to live in Statesboro and drive to the Duluth MC and Fry's monthly, if not more frequently.

Did live on Cape Cod for a minute...the drive to the Cambridge store was another long one.

But in my travels up and down the east coast, I've actually managed to visit every MC except the NY and PA stores.

Oh....forgot.....

Was sorta looking for a new TV. Bored with the one I've got (true first world problem...lol!)

Stumbled across Lowe's selling an LG 55" B2 OLED TV for $624....minus the 10% vet. discount they give....bringing the set to $564. Was just too darned cheap to pass up.

Bought a Ninja Creami for $100+tax.

This thing is amazing, I'm truly surprised by its capabilities on what it can turn a $2.24 can of Mango slices into.

Ended up swapping the wife up to an S22 from her S12(?) that she had. Had just paid off the phone but ATT was offering a free phone with almost any trade in. No brainer.

We recently got a camper trailer (haven't even had it delivered yet! 😞 lol), so we got a few things like a comforter, towels, bath mat, etc. from Amazon. We managed to get a cruise booked for January of '24 for a good price as well.

I did modest holiday shopping..needs instead of wants, socks, slippers, underwear, Followme flannel PJ pants. A replacement cat tree for Grayson, took him two years but he tore the last one up.

I am grateful, I am housed, warm, fed, surrounded by my best boys club..husband, son & my beloved cat 🐈‍⬛ Family & friends. Who could ask for more?

In recent years, I rarely bought anything because BF/CM were limited time bonanzas with limited inventory on doorbusters. Unfortunately 2022 is different as Black Friday was essentially the entire month of November. So I've been picking up things here and there, but I noticed inventory of lower end TV sets is drying up rapidly.

Just today from Amazon:
GFCI outlet
surge protector with good clamping voltage
Kasa HS200 (more expensive than lowest price but whatever)
