enjoying a 4pack of a local west coast IPA to celebrate my 1 week anniversary of being laid off. w00t

Hit the local WinCo for a 15-pack of 16oz tall cans of the Sherm! Great beer!

First time drinking the Sherm was coming out of Roads End in Sequoia National Park in July after hiking Mist Falls.
I grabbed a pack at WinCo after backpacking Kings Canyon this year and its always a perfect beer after a long hike!

I've enjoyed it a lot more since they switched up the recipe back in 2016. I emailed them about it back then and actually got a reply back from the brewmaster w00t.

Carl Jung De-Alcoholized Red wine.

Garbage. Tastes flat and lifeless, it was ok added to some Pasta Sauce, the Fruit Flies seem to love it, so I'll keep it for them.

I had a non alcoholic "whiskey" once. Fucking awful. It's flavor was to whiskey as JollyRancher watermelon candies are to watermelons. Had some weird esters like banana that made me cough when taking a sip.
The wine made a decent Pasta sauce and fruit fly trap. It's most vital element certainly seems missing.

I wonder no more.

There is no good non alcoholic wine.
Why would you drink alcohol free alcoholic drink. The alcohol is the entire point.
I drink a lot of alcohol free beer because I like the taste of beer. Also it works out at about 50pence per bottle of Becks blue from Amazon (more interesting alcohol free beers are available).

I'm not a huge fan of beer. I prefer mine cooked down and rested in oak for a decade or so. However, I wish beer were more generally available. I'd like to be able to go to any random burger joint and get a beer with my food. Beer's a great substitute for soda. The unsweet choices out are usually plain water, or unsweetened iced tea that I could make better at home. I really like beer with my food.

I'm happy with either!

*British confusion ensues*
Beer is hard to get?

Sweet drinks and food is an awful combination.
Water, beer or wine with food!

I'm thinking more downscale. Like beer at McDonalds, or a roadside pitbeef stand. You can get it at pubs and stuff. For the former, I'd be willing to try NA beer. I haven't had it since the 80s, and it was terrible then, but I've been hearing good things about modern brews. I'd rather have a mediocre NA beer than a fantastic soda with my food.

I thought "Moussy" NA was pretty good. There are minute amts of alcohol in most NA brews.

I was able to source a six from one of the regional breweries out of Michigan that my wife and I stopped at when visiting the state on our anniversary last summer.

Shout out to Saugatuck Brewing Company for their Rainbow Rodeo IPA. It is very good and if anyone here ever gets to the Midwest I recommend you try it.
