I started off with a nice 750 of a dark belgian from Unibroue and moved to mead. I pulled a sample to check SD on this years version of Curantly O-Tay earlier today and put that into a glass for tonight.
Supper tangy from the black currant and wonderfully earthly and funky from the buckwheat honey. Perfect viscosity, she has legs for days. At 13% she is really pretty quaffable. After that was a pour from the 15 version of the same. This guy is a beast, serious higher alcohols - enough to cause watery eyes when sniffed. Barnyard funk abounds in the nose if you can tolerate it long enough. The mouthfeel is like silk with a milk like coating. SOOOOOOmuch barnyard funk it's crazy. At 17% she is not to be messed with, but then again I like causing problems.
