Weyerbacher Riserva -

COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Over a year in the making, this American Wild Ale is fermented with Brettanomyces yeast and aged with red-raspberry puree in Oak barrels for over 1 year, then bottle conditioned in champagne bottles.

Nice and red with a light pink head that lasts a short time. nice and tart with a hint of leathery barnyardish raspberry. Nice and dry, with a long lasting finish. Just the slightest burn.

Yuengling lager. I've been digging Yuengling's products lately when I just want "a beer". Nothing fancy. No complicated flavors or anything; just beer.

I get Yuengling now and then, I like the lager.

Was getting it for awhile.

Have ya tried the Black and Tan ? I do really like it myself.

Probably I imagine.

Miller just my old standby.

Another delicious single barrel offering from the fine folks at Jim Beam. It's not quite at the quality of Booker's, but it's definitely delicious. It's fairly alcohol forward at first, but add a little water and the subtle notes of caramel and vanilla balance alongside a traditional oakiness and the faintest trace of apple and spice, like an apple pie cooling on a windowsill. Or, put more loquaciously, this bourbon is American as fuck, yo. I just wish the wax wasn't so hard to get off the damn bottle. It took me 10 minutes and I was SOBER. What the hell Knob Creek?!

In honor of the World Cup being held in Brazil, I went out and bought some Leblon Cachaça and made myself a Caipirinha. It's delicious. It's ridiculously hard to spell or pronounce Cachaça or Caipirinha, but that makes it a great bar drink; when you've had too many, you're no longer physically able to order them. "Let me get the cape piranhas with the Chaka Khan." Nope, done.

I've never drank a drop of alcohol in my 45+ years of life....but right now, I'm thinking it might be a good time to start.
