I have no TV and Tim Russert is dead, so this year will be different.. I suppose I'll follow the results from whoever I find is getting the returns the quickest online. Then if it looks like Obama is going to win me and my friends are going to get drunk.

Volunteering for a 15-16 hour shift as Counsel for Change in New Hampshire, roughly 3 hours from my home. When that is over I'll try to drag my butt to the party's victory party location.

PS-latest polls indicate Obama is up 11.2% according to Real Clear Politics. A little different than in 2004 when the Dems barely squeaked by in NH.

Again? (and again and again and again???)

Sorry Techs, last I checked the dems were the masters of voter fraud...us republicans just block your team from making it to the field...kinda balances out in some weird cosmic way.

At least we had David Brinkley before Tim Russert. David would tell it like it is. When Clinton won his 2nd term, David thought his microphone was off and went on to say ... "4 more years of this sh!t ..."

Yeah, because peace, prosperity, and smaller deficits sucked so bad. Good thing Bush got in and fixed that shit.

Manchester on a Tuesday night?
Well, at least you can get your shopping done tax free at the Mall of New Hampshire.

any chance we can get an official "Gloat and Moan" thread? :p
I'm sure there will be an official election night thread.

The gloating will be epic. Most pugs here have too much pride to moan, but the hunting is good on some other sites.

I will be doing what I always do, hopefully I can have the option to go to sleep with a sure Obama win by 11 PM. If not, I will stay up for a few more hours, but any late all nighters I pull will not change the outcome.

And either way, I will not rest easy, there will still be 76 more days left of GWB&co. to worry about. Either way, things can't start getting better until 1/21/2009. And on that day, our longest national nightmare will hopefully end. If there is any justice in the world, we will later send much of GWB&co to the Hague for final disposal, but it will not mitigate any of the massive damages.

Actually, I was hoping we had one thread for President and another thread for the Senatorial races.

i already did this.
election night will consist of me in rehearsal until 10 (I am a set designer and it will be the second dress for the show) then over to the cash bar at the election party in the MUB sponsored by rock the vote, college dems, and our goup, the pastafarians. the plan is to have msnbc on one channel, and fox news on another, we have buttons that have our candidates name on them. we will also be playing election bingo, pin the tail on the donkey/pin the snout on the elephant and some other fun election themed games all while getting drunk.

AND Cheney. (if they can find him)

True. And I smack myself for not saying that, too.

Many believe Bush has been the worst president in history. But in reality, its Cheney that should hold that title.

Getting in line for all the free handouts!

This is true. There should be all sorts of free goodies like President McCain coffee mugs and President McCain stationary.
