I haven't a clue. I am bookmarking this thread in hopes of gleaning a good idea that I can take credit for and please the wife. 🙂

Yeah quit doing it with the wife long ago. Still do it with the girlfriend though. 😉

I kid, I kid. 😀

nothing. not going out to dinner... they hike the prices up for this day.

This day was invented to make people go broke. Especially single people trying to get the girl...

Gonna get sushi with my gf and give her a heart filled with her favorite candies (no i'm not buying those bundles, just going to make it myself and save like 50 bucks).

can i ask, why?

Nobody says life has to be boring...it's fun to celebrate being together. Most people don't go and randomly do fun things like candlelit dinners and goofy, romantic presents just out of the blue, so having a dedicated holiday is the one time a year that you have an excuse to do it.

Edit: And yes, it was probably invented by marketing people, just like Christmas has been commercialized, but that doesn't mean you have to treat it that way!

True, just saying. You don't have to drop mad wads of cash to celebrate (the prices for 3 caramel apples make me sick, $50 bucks!). Just do whatever that will make the day special.
