Wow, that's not a lot of money, I thought the video game industry was bigger then the movies?
Is it all consoles? or maybe it's these online games, people buy just one game and play it for hundreds of hours. I know I played Bad Company for like 500 hours

I would guess that Steam probably has about 50% of the PC game sales today. But compared to overall industry sales? It's a pittance. Consoles are somewhere around 4-5 billion I think.

Yeah, digital distributors don't release sales figures and the publishers themselves are usually mum.

Huh. I guess Shogun wasn't as much of a success as I thought. Also I'm a little disappointed that Mass Effect 2 is nowhere to be found on the 2010 chart.

PC gaming is huge, especially when you include casual games, social network games, and MMOGs.
