The 10x worse than a cigarette figures are decades old government propaganda not unlike the original reefer madness videos.

If that was really true, we would have at least as many people dying from cannabis use as cigarette use, and that simply just isn't the case.

And I'm disagreeing with you and saying no, it isn't.

I challenge you to find one person that has died as a direct result of cannabis use. No car accidents, I want to see some cancer. Lung removal. Nasty sh!t that tobacco smokers go through every day. It doesen't count if they smoke tobacco and cannabis, though.

You can drink your ethanol, I'll smoke (and occasionally eat) my plant.

Long term, not much, aside from the fact that MJ chars the insides of your lungs every time you inhale.
It's marginally less harmful than cigarette smoke but same overall effect. Even if you toke through a bong it's not going to cool the smoke down enough; to get the smoke to the point where it's "harmless" it would be so dense you couldn't inhale it.

The memory loss thing is pretty much a myth. The only thing you want to be careful of is using with alcohol, and possible addiction. Yes, you CAN get addicted to pot.

The memory loss in the LONG term is PROVEN.

Smoking cannabis in the long run will cause un-severe memory loss, but significantly more than any loss you would normally encounter from a non smoking healthy person.

The smell is VERY distinct and hard to hide.

And smoking a "Spliff" is equiv to smoking 10x Cigarettes, and does 10x the amount of damage.

If i get someone telling me im wrong i will go and get proof

I agree...he should just get a sample of his hair and mail it in for drug-testing. If it tests positive, he could then turn him in. I hear drug use supports terrorism, so doing otherwise would be very anti-American.

first Q. have you tried marijauna?
second. what do you actually KNOW about marijauna, when i say 'know' i do'nt mean wha tyou have read, or what you have seen on tv or what lab results you have read on the inet.. what do you really KNOW about marijauna?
third.. if he is smoking the buddha, it's not your life/your position to say anything, it's his life, not yours (now if he starts slutting himself around for dope money [which is HIGHLY unlikely] then i would say it's ok for you to intervene, until then lay off.
and foruth, if you have a bad outlook on marijuana, ask yourself why? has it ever harmed you? or do you jsut take what it given to you on the boob tube (television) without questioning or trying it yoruself.. it's obvious that it doesn't kill, so why not try it and find out for yourself, you never know.. you might like it ;D

and this 1 joint == 10 cigarettes? prove it? that's got to be the most outrageous thing i've heard

Last summer i dated this chick that went to Cal. One day, we stopped by her place and i was just relaxing and she hands me a piece of paper. It was a CD mix she wanted to make before we left. I looked at the playlist and thought WTF? I says, "What the F#$K?! This playlist is shite! Were you really stoned when you wrote this list?" ... She giggled and admitted so. Then the next 10 minutes of my life killed me ... she explained the justification of each song and why the song before and after meant it so.

Actually, I have had a friend experiment with LSD and Acid after using Marijuana in High-School. He said that he only tried it once with another person and I really don't know what became of him after he went off to college.

I think if I had any concerns for my current friend, it would be that he not move onto stronger drugs than marijuana, as I am fairly positive that he smokes marijuana on a regular basis.

I believe in everything in moderation and I know personally that this is a hard rule to follow when it may come to addictions, appetites, or even desires. I would recommend that a person smoke in moderation, drink in moderation, eat in moderation or even watch television in moderation.
