* It is designed to help aged, blind, and disabled people, who have little or no income; and
* It provides cash to meet basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter.

It is not intended for people to mooch. If you can work to support yourself then you should work.

I have schizophrenia

My uncle has schizophrenia and he gives speeches twice a week to the medical community about his history/conditions etc. I think they pay him under the table. That's how you do it OP.

I've gamed hard from age 5 to age 25. Does this translate to a job?

Have you thought about volunteering somewhere? Sometimes the best way to help ourselves is through helping others. You could start out slow and of course there is no obligation to continue if it's not something you can do.

Tried volunteering at the hospital. They put me on a waiting list

So. Lots have it and they continue to work. Lazy.
Like 30 hours a week at minimum wage is going to pay for monthly psychologist or therapist visits, medicines and psychiatrist visits to get your refills. Next thing you know you can't afford your meds and quit taking them and the cycle starts again.

Obama ACA fixed all that. Didn't you get the memo?

Illnesses can vary in intensity, and how badly they effect a particular individual. Just because some people can shake off a particular illness, does NOT mean that the people who are less able to shake it off, are any worse than the ones who can.

E.g. It may be a genetic thing, whereby certain genes, increase or reduce the intensity/seriousness of the illness.

I really think you shoulld get a job for everyones benefit. The way I see it if you actually did some work you might be around here a little less making threads blatantly designed to wind people up.
