Burglary

Three men were arrested Wednesday night for burglary to three storage units in rural Bourbonnais. Arrested were x,x , and x, all 19, all of 5099 W. 9000N Road near Manteno.

The men were arrested by Kankakee County sheriff's police and were later turned over to Bourbonnais police when it was determined that the burglary was in their jurisdiction.

A witness, who rents two of the units, told police that he saw three people inside a vehicle that he did not recognize, leaving the area as he arrived. He followed the vehicle to a residence near Deselm where he recognized some of his property, a bench grinder and golf clubs, sitting next to the house.

Police also connected the three to a 10-ton hayrack that had been taken from the storage units and left in a ditch on Career Center Road. Other items recovered include a 15-inch drill press, two mower heads and some scrap metal.

All three remain in custody at the Kankakee County jail.

Now what are the chances of this getting lowered? We do not have any criminal record prior to this and were all gonna go to school or the military. If you need any other info let me know. If you feel the need to call me and asshole or anything go ahead cause I know what I did was wrong but please stay on topic if u can. Thanks!

You steal hayracks, grinders, and scrap metal?
Prison rape might be a step up from yer usual sheep. Maybe you don't want the charges lowered!

P.S. You should change more than the names if you intend to get anonymous advice. Then again if this is just a comical troll spun off of a random police blotter site, then that was a great way to make it seems slightly more plausible!

P.P.S. Seriously though, get a good lawyer. This sounds like it's the kind of thing that can be negotiated down under most circumstances. Good luck, and try to learn the right lessons as opposed to the wrong ones.

Depending on the jurisdiction and the lawyering, I'd say the chances are good. Even a good public defender can get this reduced to a non-felony in most jurisdictions.

If the DA seeks higher office based on his stiff-dick performance, well, things can be a lot more difficult.

Shut up and lawyer up, see what happens.

No way the military would take them with that record. If they got it reduced to something a lot less they might be able to convince the Army to take them, but even the Army has standards for how big a piece of shit you can be.

Yes, good lawyer, then a plea bargain of no contest and usually summary probation. 1st offense is usually pretty lenient, especially if it didn't involve a violent crime. It's repeat offenders who really start to get hammered.

I don't get it. You should not be seeking advice here. Get an attorney. Experience says the person or persons do time, probably county. Problem is this is two seperate burglaries. This is more than likely not going to be considered your first offense. This is the first time you got caught, big difference. But get an attorney and stop looking here for advice.

I so sure you hired one of the best lawyers in Chicago.....
Had you stated that initially you would not have had your ass handed to you in a hand basket.

Instead after getting owned by others you conveniently mention that you hired a lawyer....

You are so full of Bull shit it`s not funny!!

Your thread fails miserably!!

if the evidence is solid, no chance. you'll get convicted and in ten years you may be able to seal the public entry. that's the best you'll get.

If you can afford "one of the best lawyers in chicago" why did you need to still?

We did it cause we are scrapers and look for abandoned places. I knew when we broke the locks off it wasn't abandoned but we were there and decided to just do it anyways. The stuff we stole was probably under $1000.

So how long exactly have you been doing this?

Tell the judge that the incident was part of a new reality show called "Hillbilly Burglars" to air on CMT later this year.

The advice still stands, though. Get a lawyer, bro.

The military won't take you. The only way to get it reduced it to testify against your buddies. One of you will get convicted...just depends on who will keep his mouth shut the longest.
