most real gangs don't spend all day killing each other...they are out to make coin.

If I was around some bloods or crips, I wouldn't sweat it too much...now one of these wannabe gangsters with something to prove is a whole other story.

We have kids where I grew up in high six figure a year households going out and shooting someone thinking it's like the movies and they will get off because of connections.

Fortunately most of these killings are those with nothing to lose killing others with nothing to lose.

Dude its not that bad. North Ave isnt even one of the worst areas in ATL. maybe on north ave towards the outside is kind of sketch but around the connector is not bad at all.

most people think ANYWHERE is bad at night. People are afraid of our downtown areas where there are valets every 5 feet.

Newport News, VA

Been to all, I always travel to the worst part of town whenever I visit a city just to check it out.

Ill second Newport (BadNewz) News, VA as pretty bad.

Parts of Norfolk, VA are bad as well.

small parts of NN are bad but there are some very nice areas around the James River. If you get to the numbered streets in NN then you do need to turn around quickly.

The west end of town isnt that bad, go east on Jefferson under the bridge towards the ship yards and it gets progressively worse. Being a honkey I got some odd looks, but nobody ever started shit with me. Worse case scenario I would give them the "sorry, thought of all places I could come here and not be judged by the color of my skin" spiel.

From personal experience race relations are far worse in that (general VA) area than any other part of the country. It is the only place I have been where I experienced blatant racial discrimination.

Of course I have been to all the "bad" areas of my hometown Cleveland, Ohio. Nothing I have ever seen compared to the north side of Pitt.

Pfft, if you are going to check out the bad part of town the night is the only time worth making the trip.
