Wife and I are coming up with a list of names for the future. No kids in sight yet. :(

May/Mae will be the middle name. Unless I can talk her into Mae Belle.

Seriously.

Why are so many people lately going with little house on the prairie names?
Seems like it started close to the time that they named their kid Mabel on Mad About You.

I guess I'll be helpful:
My wife wife has an aunt named Lyda Mae.

With Mae/May, i would stay away from more "old fashioned" first names like Ellie or Allie.
what about Alana Mae, Elisha May, Sabrina Mae....

I am old fashioned and I like older names like Monroe, Milton, Winston, Benjamin (not Ben) etc.

Great-grandmother's name was Alta Mae. Wife doesnt like it for some reason :(.

Anything but Sallie, Fannie, Ginnie and Nellie, unless you want the kid to be confused with loan agencies.

Perhaps because she likes modern names.
Marie has long ago replaced may as the middle name of choice.

It was sarcasm. I cant stand Marie.

She likes May/Mae. Just trying to find a name before it.

Then can you come to an agreement with a more classic name?
Anna May, Sarah Mae, Emily Mae?

We dont like those.

The current is favorite Hallie Mae.

I like Scarlett Mae, but she thinks Scarlett is a dark name due to Scarlet Fever.
