I Mother Earth's One More Astronaut - Smashing Pumpkins with a little funk. They had some other good songs on their album but alas, I lost it long ago. This song was their one radio hit.

Most of the songs being listed are actually the most popular songs from the 90s alternative genre.

Yo La Tango
Superchunk
Archers of Loaf

oh, and Pavement

Hahah YES! I found Archers of Loaf about ten years too late, but "Web in Front" is one of my favorite songs of all time. Also love "Wrong," and "Lowest Part is Free"/"Freezing Point." They're actually doing a small reunion tour, I grabbed tickets to a show this summer.

I can't get into Pavement. "Box Elder" is the only song I really like.

The Pandora station for Archers of Loaf has turned me onto all the stuff from that genre. Dinosaur Jr, Husker Du, Uncle Tupelo, etc. I feel like I'm discovering this whole universe that I only ever knew the surface of.

Sigh. Now I'm depressed and nostalgic.
