i really never developed my hamstrings, all my leg workouts hit the quads much more than the hamstrings.
and now that my squat is starting to stall, I think my weak spot is the hammies.

what are some exercises that can iso and strengthen the hamstrings?
will stronger hamstrings help with my squats?

Deadlifts and Squats. That's really all you need for your legs...

If you are actually trying to isolate them, I think about your only option is the reverse leg curl machine...

Straight leg deadlifts should work your hammies pretty well (in addition to your lower back)

The best choices are squats (when done deep w/ proper form), deadlifts, straight leg deadlifts, romanian deadlifts, glute ham raises (GHR), and good mornings. Anything listed here will do the trick, although, as always, I'd recommend sticking with the compound movements (namely, the various deadlifts and the GHR) and NOT doing isolation exercises (leg curls).

RDL's, good mornings, GHR's, reverse hyper, high-heeled leg press, sled dragging and step ups. There's really a lot you can do.

will stronger hamstrings help with my squats?

Yes, definitely.

I mean, if you're looking for an iso hamstring exercise, the obvious answer is leg curls. However, iso leg exercises (leg curls and leg extensions) are fairly useless and I'd recommend against them. Just keep pounding your squats and deadlifts, the hamstrings will improve.

I'm with Deeko. Squat, dead, squat, dead.
