Their sense of entitlement that young people owe them.
Young people also have the sense of entitlement so it works both ways.
I don't expect old people to pay for my housing and bills, or medical care.
I'm sure that there are old people that don't expect for you to pay for theirs either, but I bet when you get old, you'll be expecting some of the money that you paid into SS to come your way (and no, I'm not stating that old people paid in nearly what they are receiving from the system as the payments were far too low from the beginning for it to work - ponzi scheme).

It is sad but funny also.
My dad will be 80 this year and my mom 71. They have been together 40+ years and it shows. My dad will start talking about something that happened 20 years ago and my mom will start saying "Here he goes again, must be the all timers" What she calls Alzheimer.
Then they went to the doctor last week and my mom was filling out the paperwork saying my dad was senile, she thought he couldn't hear her. He was slowly inching his wheel chair up behind her and scared her when he yelled out " I don't got no damn memory loss" . They do that kind of stuff back and forth all the time, its funny to watch, because I know that no matter what they really do love each other.
Hope I can be so fortunate.

Times change, but the basics stay the same. Old people have awesome advice.

I'm not sure.
I went in the store to find some music from 1985. The guy at the counter said it was probably in the oldies section.
