I love old people

Soylent Green?

Damn you, I'm so tempted to Google that name but at the same time I'm scared.

:Q Google Soylent Green? WTF?

Your education is sorely lacking...

srsly.

rly.

OK it's a movie. Was kinda hoping it'd be a hot old woman.... 😱

Crank up the heat when it's 65 degrees outside.
Sometimes overbearing - they think they are right all the time when in fact they aren't. Yeah - you have a lot of life experience, but times change.
Driving very VERY slowly without getting out of the fkn way
That they could walk up a snow covered hill both ways when I can't... 🙂

Their sense of entitlement that young people owe them.

Young people also have the sense of entitlement so it works both ways.

I don't expect old people to pay for my housing and bills, or medical care.

I'm sure that there are old people that don't expect for you to pay for theirs either, but I bet when you get old, you'll be expecting some of the money that you paid into SS to come your way (and no, I'm not stating that old people paid in nearly what they are receiving from the system as the payments were far too low from the beginning for it to work - ponzi scheme).

Goo luck finding one.

And yes I expect to get a check ever month for 17 cents from SS.

Times change, but the basics stay the same. Old people have awesome advice.

that their memory starts to go... it isn't annoying, more sad than anything. 🙁

It is sad but funny also.
My dad will be 80 this year and my mom 71. They have been together 40+ years and it shows. My dad will start talking about something that happened 20 years ago and my mom will start saying "Here he goes again, must be the all timers" What she calls Alzheimer.

Then they went to the doctor last week and my mom was filling out the paperwork saying my dad was senile, she thought he couldn't hear her. He was slowly inching his wheel chair up behind her and scared her when he yelled out " I don't got no damn memory loss" . They do that kind of stuff back and forth all the time, its funny to watch, because I know that no matter what they really do love each other.

Hope I can be so fortunate.

Haha, your dad is awesome.

Very very true.
One of the biggest mistakes I ever made was that I had bought a home and paid it off by the time I was 26. I never really liked the kitchen so I decided I would take out a loan on the home to add on. My dad who grew up in hard times told me" Son, never give back to the bank anything that is no longer theirs." He wanted me to just do a little work each month and pay for it as I go. I was young and thought I would just go get a loan and do it all. So I did.
About a year later I lost my job and the house.

Driving, hands down. Pretty much the only thing I can hold against them. Realizing that it's not their fault tempers my outrage at times. Otherwise, I pay all seniors the same respect I would my own parents. Always have, always will.

Their incomprehension of computers. I don't get angry about it, just kinda... glassy-eyed.

For every old person driving too slow there's some punk in a rice rocket putting other drivers at much higher risk, so their driving isn't an issue at all. Besides, even old guys drive better than the best women drivers of any age.

As for the big cars, those rock. Especially on long-ass drives. Sooooo comfortable.

At what age are you considered an old person vs young person?

I'm not sure.
I went in the store to find some music from 1985. The guy at the counter said it was probably in the oldies section.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one wondering where the "cut-off" was.

I guess it depends on the person. My niece called me "sagely" and she's 14 while I'm closing in on 30.

Young is generally 26 or under, and old is 65 or over. There's variability due to individual differences, but that should be pretty close.
