What anime should I get next?

I just finished Outlaw Star, and I watched Cowboy Bebop last week. Can anyone recommend a good dvd anime set to me?

I would say Vampire Hunter D special edition, Its one of the best animes imo.

the bebop movie dvd was released last wednesday/thursday in japan if i'm not mistaken.

so have fun importing if you're in the states, $$$.
or download the fansub release by anime-empire which has been around for months, off irc.

So true, so true I've had my second 40Gb harddrive in a month and it's already filled with fansubs

- I agree with NGE, it's a great series, but so far I like all what Gainax have made that I've seen. So I'll dedicate this list to Gainax.
- Gasaraki too, although I've only seen the first disc.
- Gunbuster is one of the best mecha-series (Gainax again)
- Secret of Blue Water / Nadia is good (again Gainax, runs on German tv right now).
- Serial Experiments Lain, many people think it's too weird though. It's one of my fave shows (see my sig)

Atlantean, Trigun has been out on dvd for quite a while, about a year I think.

That new Vampire Hunter D movie is about a week or so away (Feb. 12th) from
being released on DVD, I already have it pre-ordered from Amazon. Any idea
when the new Cowboy Bebop movie is going to be available here? 550Mb is
a bit more than my cable modem can chew.

OMFG! DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT watch Neon Genesis Evangelion. I watched all the episodes and the movie, and I wish I could get that time back.

Escaflowne is pretty good until the last few episodes, where they screw everything up.

Let's see, a couple more:

-Macross Plus
-Gundam Wing (you basically have to like mechs, a lot, and not care too much about story)

Humorous:
-Tenchi Muyo
-Slayer Plus
-Super Culture All Purpose Cat Girl (short)

Suspense:
-Perfect Blue (VERY GOOD!)

And come now, let's not forget Dragonball, Dragonballz, and Dragonball GT!

This guy obviously did not understand Neo Genesis Evangelion, otherwise he would take this comment back. It is one of the best animes you could watch. (and you recommended DBZ, I should smack you)


Anyways, I will throw out another vote for Vandread, very well done series. Also, Noir is awesome.
