Well the latter would just take skill and persistence. That's something anyone could do if they put enough time into it.

Believe me, it's a skill, and not talent
Drawing and painting are two very different things. A friend of mine is a budding artist and he can draw amazing scenes with a pencil or pen, or cut out a beautiful stencil, but he bitches and moans about how tough painting is. Getting the colors and strokes right without fucking everything up is really hard. Even if the artist is copying from a photo, that's still really impressive.

Drawing is easy for some like me. You have to start painting at a young age to get the feel and practice.
