What age did u break $100k per year salary mark.? Granted that it depends on where you live and most people on AT get 8 figure 1st jobs what would be a realistic estimate for a six figure salary expectation. 4 years - 6 years -8 years or may 2-3 job changes

Really depends on field, experience, education. A little too variable to jsut guess. Personally I wont expect to make that much until at least 7-10 years from now.

seriously just try a little harder and you'll get there complete with supermodel girlfriend, car paid in cash, and home paid in cash.

That's me being bitter since I'm not there either 🙁

Well I have a Masters and live in new york suffolk county area and still rent coz I cant afford a house I have 4 years of experience in a very niche field thats is not software based nor has any chance of getting offshored. I was hoping to get to that mark in about 5 years time but it doesn't seem like its gonna happen anytime soon.

I drive a 7 year old honda accord paid in full though. No GF ... this is ATOT right and still renting. Fvcking tax takes it all away pay tax whn u make maony pay tax when u spend money pay tax when buying a house and pay tax when u live in a house. Not that I am saying taxes are not imp for growth of society but sometimes it feels unfair.

lol, I love it when these threads pop up on ATOT. It's way too late for all the 23-27 year olds to pop on and talk about how they're all making 250+ with supermodel wives and sports cars.

the secret isn't what you make but how much you keep. hey I don't make 100k or own a home but I'm saving for my 20% downpayment which is close to 80k in California and i'm 4 years in and 2 years away. still chugging.

Truth. You can live fantastically on less than 100k as long as you spend, save, and invest properly. I suppose it depends on what type of lifestyle you have, but people are overspending way too much these days.

Given that I'm a Computer Engineering major, assuming average starting salaries remain where they are, and the fact that I'll be going for a PhD, I'll hopefully hit it before or around 30
