For me, the drive to reach the goal was there. Being Indian and choosing not to go into the medical field (i'm stereotyping, but in my family and friends it happens to be true), I am being judged on a different scale. Among my family, there are 2 surgeons, 2 pharmacists, and several engineers. Among my friends, I have several doctors, several dentists, and several lawyers. Mind you, they are all +/- 3 years my age. My income is considered bottom barrel in comparison. I have to work hard to get up the same level, mostly just to live the lifestyle that they have and that, by extension, I expect from myself.

But if we are counting stock options, I hit the 100k mark March 17, 2008. 🙂

What did you study? I'm starting to see a lot more Indians move away from IT, engineering, medicine, etc. and more into business. There's a tremendous surge of entrepreneurial activity in India, similar to what it was like in the US during the dotcom era. Seems a lot more want their MBA than anything else.

MS in Bioinformatics, currently in Software QA.... didn't stray too far from the herd 😛

This is ATOT, everyone here made $100k their senior year of high school.

Shhh, don't say things like that or Connoisseur will get mad at you.

Right now I'm on course to make about 62K this year. I'm 23. Pay raises arent the greatest around my job, I'm only expecting a 3% raise this year which is pretty much what everyone gets even if you are the most outstanding employee ever, our management doesn't care and only gives what they have to, which is 3%.

You're in a union right?

I have read enough posts, and PMs in some instances, by some of the members posting in here to be reasonably certain that they are telling the truth about breaking $100k at a young age.

That said, I would like say to them: don't start feeling too good bragging about your accomplishments. There's always someone out there who made more money than you at a younger age. These people would make your accomplishments look like nothing, just as you came in this thread and made everyone else look like crap.

Maybe in a few years, after I get an MBA. Then again I haven't started my full time job yet, heeh.

Doesn't it take a doctor until his mid 30s for him to make 100k+? Not to mention all the med school debt you'd be carrying.

orgies with super models by age 11.

Why'd you wait that long? I made my first million between the time I crowned and when the cord was cut. And I had super models waiting to catch me when I came out of the womb so I could start the orgies immediately. I was still a slacker compared to most ATOT posters. 🙁

Hopefully you weren't throwing me into that list, but I agree with what you're saying.

There are so many people with a lot more (and a lot less) no matter where you are in life. It really doesn't help to compare, and at the same time the success of another shouldn't make another person feel like crap. People that use any level of success they might have to denigrate others are pretty low, imo.

Come on now, tell us the truth. They just sat by while you played video games right?
(Hopefully ATOT gets the reference...)

What age did u break $100k per year salary mark.? Granted that it depends on where you live and most people on AT get 8 figure 1st jobs what would be a realistic estimate for a six figure salary expectation. 4 years - 6 years -8 years or may 2-3 job changes

Never have, never will. Not with 4 degrees, and 30 years in.
