John Cusack. Not to say he hasn't been in decent movies, but for some reason he annoys the hell out of me. Can't stand the guy.

Nicolas Cage. I make a few exceptions to hating him (Adaptation is a great movie imo) but this guy only has one face and it's no Magnum.

Of course, I wouldn't say that my hatred towards any actor really matches an instant not watch of a movie. I hated Leonardo Dicaprio for a very, very long time. As it turns out he happens to be a great actor now and I would have missed some very good movies if I simply purged him from my movie going experience for rolls in movies like Titanic. Loved Gangs of New York, The Aviator, Catch Me if You Can... ect.

Exception is made when I'm suffering from Insomnia. That's why I keep a 'Tin Cup' DVD handy.

Tin Cup was good, so was Dances With Wolves, and The Untouchables. 3000 Miles to Graceland was OK, but didnt need Kevin Costner, same with A Perfect World. He didnt fuck either movie up but he didnt contribute much either.

Nic Cage, Robin Williams, Brendon Frasier

Oh shit!!! Forgot about Robin Williams. Hate him in the movies more than Whoopi Goldberg. And while we're talking about old guys trying to be funny, Dustin Hoffman. Hasn't been a good actor in about two decades. Meet the Fockers was the clincher on that one.

Brendan Fraser. The Mummy was watchable, but everything else is horrible. And they could have picked someone better for his part anyway.

Also, any Keanu Reeves movie instantly becomes a comedy due to his emotionless nature. Although that doesn't mean I won't watch.

Edit: I hate Shia Lebouf. He ruined IJ3: The Crystal Skull even worse than the aliens did. He was worse than the asian kid.

Ben Affleck. He is just too normal and laid back to be an actor. You have to be a little crazy to play 10 different roles a year. Most good actors are a little off.

Hayden Christensen is also bad, but he is still young. How he scored such major parts like Darth Vader so young in his career blows my mind. He likely "blew" a few producers minds.

Some one in the biz told me a lot of actors and singers got where they were by doing some dirty stuff. They have some kind of inner circle of trust and if you violate the trust you end up out of Hollywood pretty quick.

there is this other black dude named Denzel Washington. He's a little fit famous. Also, I dunno if Forest Whitaker fits what you're looking for but I think he's a good actor and should get more roles.

Denzel seems to be working a lot less than he used to, though. He was a leading man/action type, but is getting long in the tooth for that now. He really has only had 5 released movies since he did Manchurian Candidate, which was 5 years ago.

I'll give you Forest Whitaker. The only problem with his is that, while he's a good (if not great) actor, he still seems to stay one step ahead of invisible. He's just not someone that jumps out at you, even though he gives great performance after great performance.

Morgan Freeman

Good catch, missed him. Another fantastic actor, but really tends to be more of the co-star than the leading man. Really too bad, since he could easily carry any movie he's in.

Will smith?
Yep, missed him too. He's hit or miss with his roles, think it depends on direction and writing as much as his acting skills (but he may be fated to fall into the "no rappers can act" rule). He fills the niche of "we need an action hero who's a black man" role that Denzel used to fill.

Okay........NOW come up with someone else!!! ;)

Oh yeah, forgot one other acting type I cannot stand.....Penelope Cruz. God, watching anything she does is an exercise in not screaming out loud.

Megan Fox probably. There are a lot of other actors/actresses I dislike (Michelle Rodriguez comes to mind, Shia Leboeuf), but if there are factors like an interesting story, good director, and other actors I really like that overtake my dislike of the particular actor, I will still see the film.

He was pretty good in 'Invincible' I thought.
He was also good in "Fear" and "The perfect storm" was good too..
Invincible was good. I can agree with that one. Fear I didn't care for
and I haven't seen THe Perfect Storm. With such stinkers as Planet of the
Apes, Shooter, and Four Brothers it's hard to get past his bad work. Rockstar
would have been straight to DVD if it wasn't for Anniston IMHO.

I see Jack Black a lot throughout this thread.
In my opinion, he is fine as long as he doesn't play the main character.

This is true, I'm nearly 100% certain. There certainly is a "left wing" gang that suppresses right leaning voicing of opinion.

Even Michael Moore noticed the lack of right leaning actors in Hollywood, of course he didn't take the time to point out why that really is (perhaps he doesn't know...)
