Looks like Apple will hit it big again, and now in black too.

Unfortuantely now I just need to sell my Shuffle and and my Mini that is less than 2 month old so I can buy one.

Well, looks like the mini is pretty much toast. The nano looks like a great product, but it'll probably be really hard to get ahold of this holiday season.

I can't wait to see what kind of prices these things get in the aftermarket. The prices on minis were crazy when they first came out.

Just like cell phones...they keep making em smaller so they're easier to lose. Then you gotta go buy a new one.

I'd rather have a Creative Zen Micro. IPOD has nice features. But they sure aren't worth 100-200 price premium.

From the specs page:
Capacity

* 2GB or 4GB flash drive
* Holds 500 to 1,000 songs in 128-Kbps AAC format(2)
* Stores data via USB flash drive

Besides, no way there's a HDD in there. It's thinner than a pencil!

So I called my local Apple store...

No dice. But she did say they are expected to get them in either today (for sale tonight) or tomorrow. Since my local apple store is on my way home I'm going to just have to go everyday until I can buy my Apple branded status symbol :). Personally I think this new Nano is what the shuffle should have been (not that I would have expected them to sell it for that cheap, but no screen or touch wheel then it isn't an iPod!)

FYI I owned a Zen Micro and the keyword there is OWNED as in hard drive failure. Flash is my friend.

100-200 price premium? 4gb micro is $180, only 70$ less expensive and almost twice the size and has 2 hours less battery life.

Sweet merciful Jesus, but that thing is small.

It'll sell like hotcakes would sell if hotcakes had sex with you.

I didn't think they could get any better. I'm amazed. Apple just solidified their position for another year or two in portable player market.

Try a $20 to -$30 premium (based on Newegg).

If only it would be a UMSD...

There are a few problems with this statement.
1. The Zen Micro looks extremely ghetto compared to the iPod Nano
2. The Zen has no color screen
3. The Nano is WAY smaller
4. The Nano is using a flash drive instead of a hard drive
5. The Nano is only ~$70 more than the Zen
6. And last but not least, the Zen Micro looks ghetto :p
