I'm back...took all night to clean and then I had to go shave and soap.
Now I look like Mr Clean.

Anyway that glowy pic is cesium.

When I was in the Army in Germany, we were staying in some open barracks in the south. One of the guys came back drunk at about 2 AM and he thought it would be funny to wake us up by spraying a fire extinguisher. He woke us up all right and got his ass kicked. But we had to stay up till about 4 AM cleaning up the mess.

Sounds like you are rolling in the dough. Did you toss your cookies? Gotta watch the electric stuff or you'll end up baked.

Since we havent heard back is it safe to assume hes dead? Maybe he had that embolism? Can I have his computer?

Remember, my personal computer is from 2006...I like to complain about how bad it is.

In reality here's today's catch ~$24,000:

Yes that is a spicy chicken sandwich from Carl's Jr.
You can now speculate all you wish.

I think the highest price I've seen on a power cable was $1k. Some of those HDMI cables and such get up there too...

If you want to know how I make $500,000 a month just pay me $10,000 and I'll tell you how! 😛

If your username wasn't already taken, there was a poster here who claimed to spend more than that on a power cable - he had a power cable worth $50k. I considered that perhaps his custom title should be "elite retard." Fwiw, he tried posting his crap over at [H] and was banned within 2 hours.

IIRC you just recently Japan in spite of not having a job, have social/communication issues, don't think highly of people, and now have $$$$$ on hand. I'm guessing that you're a drug mule + cleaner-upper all in one for some Malaysian drug ring.

btw, what are those plastic-wrapped coins?

is there any reason a straight up CO2 extinguisher wouldnè not have been suitable? Those powder motherfuckers make such a mess

I guess it depends on what kind of power cable we are talking about...

A transatlantic run would certainly cost $50k.

I cant imagine any standard ~6ft PC power cable costing that much though.
You can get over 800ft of silver liquid nitrogen superconductor cable for $50k.

10x 1oz Platinum eagles rated 69-70
$1680-2000 per oz

3x 1oz Gold Maple Leafs
$1610-1750 per oz

Like I said though, I don't mess with drugs.
There are other ways of making good money tax free...though it can be a hazardous and sometimes very messy business.

Many types of fire extinguishers... always make sure you have the correct type for your application. Also if your going to work with crazy stuff, you should have a copy of the MSDS book.

That is the oddest list I have ever seen, and as far as I know it's incorrect. Maybe its a new updated version or something...

From what I know:

A solids
B liquids
C electrical
D metals

For what I'm working with a variety of powdered extinguishers are the only real option (one specifically for the flammable metals).

I think those CO2 ones are best for quickly cooling your beer.

What you listed is still the current American standard. The only one you are missing is Class K/Wet Chemical, which is for deep fat fryers. They are actually caustic chemicals that saponify(make soap from) the fats and create a smothering blanket on the surface of the oil.

CO2 have their uses, but they are limited compared to other ones. I liked them for a carburetor fire for example. You can put it out without residue.

For combustible metals, you are correct that you need a class D extinguisher. However, they are not all interchangeable. They generally form a crust over the metal to exclude oxygen, and that crust needs to be undisturbed until the metal cools below ignition point.

What you are working with is also pyrophoric, and water reactive. I would highly suggest you don't work with that outside of a facility designed for it...
