I think this shows where the problem is. The owner didn't give the common courtesy to his employees saying why he chose weekdays and asking for their cooperation.

Alright folks we can do this during the week or weekend. If we do it on the weekend I'll be taking an extra 250 dollars out of everybody's paycheck to cover the difference. All in favor say AYE!
It is just about being polite, that's all I was saying. THAT is what is lost. People can understand the decision, but treat the employees like you give a damn about them.
yeah since being polite to your employees is going to make sure htey have a job.
The company owner has a job to make sure the company does not waste money. one of the ways he did that is having the place repaved on on one day an dmakeing people walk.
don't like it? get another job. its not about being polite its a business not a damn charm school.
