So I posted some time back about my parents owning a rental property and how the previous 2 tenants had destroyed the place. The first tenants were the worst. They were red neck types that did unbelievealle damage to the place. They put holes in walls, destroyed the carpets, made a huge mess of the back yard and more. The 2nd tenants were a korean family that were not much better. They smoked on the back balcony and threw their cig butts into the backyard. They never cleaned the kitchen or any other part of the house and basically lived like pigs. They also messed up the back yard quite badly. Think, throwing trash all over the place. We were really surprised by this family as most Asian families are pretty clean.
Needless to say the neighbours were not happy with my parents. Well the 3rd time we went through a realtor who helped us to find someone. She did the interview, vetted them and they moved in this past September after we did a number of renovations. We cleaned the carpets, cleaned up the place, replaced a couple of appliances, painted a couple of rooms, and did other basic maintenance. These guys looked much better at first glance. Chinese guy with a white wife and kid. They seemed good and their financials were OK from what I understand. However one red flag is that they have their mother in law staying with them. Well as they moved in we started to become startled by the amount of stuff they had, boxes and boxes and boxes. Well I can tell you as of today they are hoarders. I was in the house today for a stupid reason (they complained they couldn't open the front door, nothing was wrong) and I took some pics. Damn that's a shit load of boxes and shit. The bathrooms are littered with hundreds of makeup kits, bottles and other assorted junk. The kitchen is just about unusable with the amount of stuff in it. Every room has a shit load of stuff piled up. He does have a nice DVD and games collection I see though
Anyway I suppose it could be worse. It doesn't look dirty unlike the previous 2 people just TOOOOO much stuff. they still seem like the best of the 3 tenants and so long as they don't ruin the structure we don't care all that much.
As for pics. Don't think that's legal is it?
