nice price!

there are 2 seperate $30 rebates. one requires original upc, other only requires copy. even though outpost says limit 2 per household, rebate restricts one rebate per customer/name/address.

Bought this 2 weeks ago for $120-$50=$70. A day later they popped the price to $130. They might drop the price another $10 so watch it closely. Also another thread said the rebates sometimes take forever.

Stupid computer claims Hitachi 250gb is discontinued so they canclled my order. Could've got a 250giger for only $80. Stupid compusa and their pathetic inventory updates.

ATA100 allows for up to 100MB/sec data transfer, and ATA133 up to 133. That's an increase of 33%. SATA allows up to 150.

So, in other words, there's no difference in the real world. The sustained transfer speed isn't anywhere near any of those numbers. During bursts of reading what the hard drive was able to stuff in its cache, you'll get a slight difference.

In other words: ATA133 and SATA are mere marketing gimmicks which manufacturers gladly participated in? Come on.
