It's too bad that someone stooped to that level in protest of these fools. Weston, Mo. did it right.

I clicked on that link thinking they were dishonoring the recently deceased to protest war. Then I reached the end of the story and learned they it wasn't even that. They were only protesting homosexuality. What a bunch of asshats.

Who cares if it's illegal? These people have worn out their welcome nationwide. You could start killing them off one at a time and the investigation would be half-hearted at best.

I wouldn't encourage anyone to break the law. but if I saw it happening, I'd take about 30 minutes between each digit while calling the cops.

The people responsible are sacks of shit. They should be found and publicly humiliated.
I'm talking about the people responsible for replacing the tires btw. The idiots in the van should of been left at the roadside.

I despise what the westboro folks do just as much as the next person, but I would hope if someone didn't agree to what I believed and said that they wouldn't turn to illegal activities against me.

I would probably take loki's approach, however.

Ever see the movie Frailty? Maybe it was the will of God that kept any witnesses from seeing the tire slashers. :\

I can't condone damaging someone's private property, but it did make me happy to read, "the protesters were unable to find anyone in town who would repair their vehicle, according to police."

No sympathy for them. They'll be lucky if that's the worst thing that ever happens to them.

Westboro is a bunch of assholes, they are lucky that worse things have not happened to their property, seeing how they screwed with people's families at funerals.

But, has anyone considered that they might have done this themselves to try to get more attention?

So, if enough people don't like the message of a speaker, it's OK to slash the tires of the speaker.

I guess this falls under the same theory of freedom as murdering abortion doctors.

I don't understand how their message falls under the protection of free speech?

During their protests they hold signs up with pictures of the deceased soldiers saying "lovely human." I can't go outside and start calling strangers faggots without being arrested for disorderly conduct so why is this not true for these bozos? Their protest is being done solely to cause pain and suffering for those mourning the deceased so I'm not clear why it should be protected speech.

I myself would never condone doing this, however in this case I would loan them my knife if they needed it.
