West, TX fertilizer plant explodes, collapses nearby nursing home with it

Why would town allow nursing home and school so close to fertilizer plant??

One thing that I found interesting was some state officials telling the federal officials to kick rocks (other than the ATF) it's a Texas matter.

In almost all of the press conferences they emphasize TX.

Around here they have installed propane backup generators in a lot of nursing home with fricken HUGE propane tanks to power them. Ever seen a video of a BLEVE explosion? No, check it out on youtube, just as nasty but evidently acceptable.

Oh come on now, this is supposed to be about bashing on Texas, not any shred of common sense...but really it's OK, when you're on top everyone wants to try and bring you down;)
