The only real way to play the seer/fool roles is to have each keep investigating and hope one of them comes across an inconsistency. The only way for that to happen (that I can see) would be having someone previously investigated lynched. You'd then be able to compare what you know from the lynch with what you received as "seer". Of course, it's not foolproof (har har), since the fool may have randomly gotten accurate information on that person.

Both seers should choose someone and keep seeing them. When it becomes inconsistent one will know she or he is a fool and can say as much.

and then they will spent many days doing that

both investigate the same person and after 3 days come out

that will help the town
after revealing themselves they can investigate different targets

I've been trying to think of a reliable way to let the seers investigate 2 seperate people and avoid the possibility that they both investigate the same one. This early in the game, however, I think we'd do fine simply to let the seers choose on their own, with the additional stipulation that they investigate the same person on the next night to double check the validity of their answers. Odds are that they won't pick the same person to investigate.

Once the seers have their information, does anyone propose an optimal way to utilize it -- preferably one in which they don't make themselves out to be wolf bait?

as i see it we can tell both seer/fool to investigate the same person
well the seer must turn out and tell his findings or else he has no point
the question is not if the seer will end woolf food but if he will help the village to win. so i propose 3 days 3 names of investigation and 3rd day seer will reveal itself and then we can drawn conclusions

The seers must each investigate at least 1 person twice to double check their answers and separate the true seer from the fool.

I propose the seers both investigate a random person of their choosing on the first night, but investigate that same person again the next night. Repeat results are almost certainly truths while inconsistent results will clearly be false. We withold reveals until the 3rd day, at which point the seer and fool should each know their true identities, and the true seer will have reliable knowledge of at least 2 people to share.

Just a reminder. The day will end promptly at 8:00am CST, and as it stands, MonKENy will be lynched.

Was going to vote rasczak because I wasn't certain on how to pronounce his handle, but then I Googled it and determined it may be a Starship Troopers reference. So, MonKENy.
