(Dammit) You sold me! Basically $4 S/H for 5 DL & 1 SL DVD+RW disk.

The few bucks extra for retail gets you Nero (and possibly a software DVD player + screws/cable as well). My friend can have my OEM drive now, heh.

Ordered mine plus a USB 1.1 wireless adapter for my old laptop.

Now I can finally get some stuff cleared off of my harddrives so I won't have to buy any more. ;)

I didn't read this entire thread, but I just wanted to say thank you to the OP for maintaining this thread nicely.

Too many deal threads are not maintained when prices change or the deal goes dead.

Nice job AquariusX!

Damn, a good DVD burner for $39 shipped with a free 25-pk of dvds and a free 24 disk wallet. It may be too good for me to resist.

Yes I have noticed that as well, I haven't heard about the 3550A until coming to this thread, must be new, does it have anything over the 3540A?

How is it darkplayer?

edit: nevermind just saw it in another thread, just lead free components huh?

Yup just got mine for work. Took longer than usual this time. Shipped from Kentucky?!?
Seems to be very little info on the 3550 compared to the 3540. Probably like my 2500 that I flashed into a 2510 then added a modded flash. Burn quality and features went way up. I also got the new benq 1655 for home and its outstanding but cost $53 shipped. I'll test my new 3550 and report back but at this price no one should consider a combo drive or maybe even a cd burner. My expectations are this burner will be within 5% of the best quality burner for only 5% more than the worst burner. I usually like the 80% / 20% rule but I live the 95% / 5% rule.

Please let this thread die..... I can't believe it's still here hahaha. I'm no longer updating this. There is someone who posted a deal on the 3550. Search for it. And, btw the 3550 is the better of the two.
