Wendys value meal no longer a value

JEDI

Lifer
everything on their value meal is $1.50+ except for the regular hamburger (1.10).

uuggg

im only here because of coupon of free 'new' daves hamburger with purchase of small fries & drink ($3.50).

the new burger is actually pretty tasty.

Don't think I've ever seen a burger joint where you could get a burger for $1.50. Americans are pretty spoiled on pricing.

food inflation
learn it
love it
live it

Spicy Chicken sandwiches are good. The fish sandwiches there aren't bad either.

I agree though, food prices are getting higher and higher.

Their newish chicken sandwich, I forget what it's called, is so freaking good with the spicy chicken. Too bad the meal approaches $8.

go to the grocery store and make your own fucking food for several days for a fraction of the fucking price you are paying to shove shitty fast food down your fat gullet.

seriously.

I know.

Burger King in central Dublin (summer 2008): 18 USD for Whopper combo meal.

stop complaining about how much your shitty diet is costing you.

A crispy chicken sandwich costs 4.50, FOR JUST THE FUCKING SANDWICH!
The meal is like 7 god damn dollars.

Agree. Carl's Jr is even worse, the six dollar burger is actually now a $6 burger, combo is over $8 with tax. Going to have to change the name soon. I bring coupons now when I go to these places, keeps it around $5.

Considering their margins are ultra low and they were still cheaper than most other places, doesn't bother me. The only reason fast food workers get paid minimum wage is because they try to keep the prices down on the menu. Same reason a lot of things are cheap in places like that. People get all up in arms if the price goes up, and forget how little money places like that actually make.

Careful what you call a burger around here hehe It's usually only worth a buck or so, think pre-shaped patty of "meat", dry bun, and the saving grace: Cheese.

To the OP: our's is still mostly a buck, except the chicken and spicy chicken nuggets which are $1.20. And the double cheese burger which is like $1.25. And a couple other things. I swear it's not as bad as it sounds!!

Meh, you can still get a meal's worth of stuff for $5 if you play your cards right. Still a pretty decent deal IMO.

Tell me about it. When I was in Italy back in July I went into a McDonald's for shits and giggles and a Bic Mac combo was something like $12 USD.

I don't notice the prices being any different where I am...

Is this a Wendy's-owned store price change or is it just your particular franchise?

My wendys store most things are 1.25, I don't think 1.50 is all that awful, everywhere is pricier now and days.

I still go to Wendy's thanks to my free frosty keychain.

Obviously the solution is to join the army and get deployed to one of those places with Mcdonalds' selling big macs for 50 cents. 😉

Look at Taco Bell, they jacked the price of a grilled stuffed steak burrito up to 4.99. Its happening to all of the chains.

Their value menu is pretty good in Arlington, Tx. For some reason nuggets are 1.29 but the spicy nuggets are only .99.

I like the go wraps though they raised the price on those.
