Wendy?s manager shot over limit on chili sauce

the story does not say how the shooting took place...did the manager get shot as soon as he walked over to the shooter's car? or were they having a discussion and then the shooter pulled out the gun and shot him?

In either case, the manager shouldn't not have to worry about getting shot over something so small.

I still fail to see what the manager did wrong here...I think asking for 10 packets of chili sauce is way overboard and the manager had a right to explain this to the customer.

Your logic = nil. How many more did he want? Double? That would be 10 packets. Maybe triple, that would be 20 packets or 6 cents.

I imagine it's entirely possible to be shot at and not immediately realize you were hit.

I had my fingertip ripped off and it happened so fast I didn't know it until I looked at my hand. Then I went into shock and so never felt any pain until after I came out of surgery and the drugs wore off.

He gave the man 10 packets when normal procedure is 3. Should he just give people the entire stock simply because they demand it? I see nothing wrong with what the manager did.
 
wow I was reading about this the other day and this is just insane. I mean I love their chili sauce but i wouldn't kill for it.

I get hit in sports and don't realize it's bad till a bruise/welt shows up but either way, I know I got hit. This manager dude had to have felt some kind of physical contact and that alone should raise alarms. No way he "walked back into the office" and found out.
 
I can totally see this happening, as most fast food restaurant patrons are fat angry slobs. There were several times I was worried about what a customer would do when I refused to give them extra condiments when I was a night manager at McDonalds.

First of all, the 3 packets of sauce limit, that was NOT the managers idea. All fast food joints have a pre-determined limit of what they'll give people for condiments. This guy gave the shooter TEN, then the shooter demanded even MORE. It was clear he was being unreasonable and the manager did exactly the right thing by refusing to give him more. Again, it was a corporate policy, not the manager deciding to be stingy with chili sauce that he doesn't even pay for.

I hope the guy who took a shot at him gets cancer in his balls.

No because the food is already there when I bring it up. Plus you can watch them take the nuggets out of the warmer and put them in the box with their tiny little spatula thing.

Not a bad ballpark. I was expecting something in the range of $.05 apiece. And fast food margins are low. Giving a guy 10+ sauce packets makes that guy an unprofitable customer.

Ummmm.... yeaaaaahh i'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you on that one. Retail for 200 ketchup packets can be found for $6. Wendy's is definitely not paying retail, and definitely buying in bulk. A few cents for 10 packets was an exaggeration but you're looking on the order of a penny per packet max.
