If a customer makes a stink about it then just let them have the extra condiments, its not worth arguing over (and possibly losing a customer for poor service). I'm in no way defending the guy as what the hell kind of a nut shoots someone over that, I would have just said give me a refund and I'll be on my way if they weren't willing to budge on condiments.
the story does not say how the shooting took place...did the manager get shot as soon as he walked over to the shooter's car? or were they having a discussion and then the shooter pulled out the gun and shot him?
In either case, the manager shouldn't not have to worry about getting shot over something so small.
I still fail to see what the manager did wrong here...I think asking for 10 packets of chili sauce is way overboard and the manager had a right to explain this to the customer.
Yeah, 10 packets of chili sauce has to be at least 3 cents.
The man insisted on 10, reports said. The employee complied, but police said the customer wanted more.

Holy crap, I don't even know where to begin. The manager didn't know he got shot? Is he deaf and a parapledgic (meaning he didn't hear the gunshot or feel the bullet tear into his flesh)?

I'm not condoning the shooting by any means. However, this is someone who doesn't deserve to manage a customer service-oriented business.

I get hit in sports and don't realize it's bad till a bruise/welt shows up but either way, I know I got hit. This manager dude had to have felt some kind of physical contact and that alone should raise alarms. No way he "walked back into the office" and found out.Originally posted by: toekramp
how do you not realize you are shot

Your logic = nil. How many more did he want? Double? That would be 10 packets. Maybe triple, that would be 20 packets or 6 cents.

Do you seriously think these packets only cost 3/10 of a cent apiece? 😕

Just for a ballpark figure http://www.mredepot.com/servlet/the-160/Condiment-Packet-Sauce-Dressing/Detail 😛

I've had to speak to managers at McDonalds a few times when they'd say I can only have 2 sauces with my 10 piece mcnuggets. I need at least 3 if not 4 to last for all 10. They want to charge like $.25 per extra cup which is retarded.
I've never had one charge me after I complain about it.
Maybe they spit on your mcnuggets now after you pissed them off? 😛

Not a bad ballpark. I was expecting something in the range of $.05 apiece. And fast food margins are low. Giving a guy 10+ sauce packets makes that guy an unprofitable customer.
