Did you have signs in spanish? There was your problem

I don't think it would have helped. I think they are purposely out to get me.

The crew just doesn't seem to care. They put huge gashes in the new floors with the vacuum along with the base boards among other things.

Now I get to call the manager and kick their asses to the curb.

And you let them keep coming in to your house?

/nod

I know, but they came highly recommended and they do a good job cleaning... It is the breaking shit part that pisses me off 🙂

I don't believe in suing for stuff like this... I'll just take it as a life lesson learned, wrap your shit in bubble wrap and put signs on them in 10 languages.

you don't believe in people suing people who come over and break you shit? yeah..thats stupid.

why should you suffer because of there negligence?

but then why the fuck did you let them keep comeing back when you were having trouble with them?

We have a service clean our apartment every two weeks, they don't seem to touch my HT gear. If they DID damage anything you can bet your ass I'd be getting it paid for by their employer. It's not elitist at all to expect them to pay for damage, that's what they have insurance for.

Get a new TV, & then get a new cleaning company. Sounds like your current one sucks.

Personally, I would not consider fucking up your TV and your new floor as "a good job".

Our cleaning lady (she speaks English, just kind of technologically challenged) kept knocking the wires around my dad's desk, which would force his computer to restart a lot - which could have corrupted a lot of stuff he has running.

Nobody died, the TV still works and in reality I am not suffering (too bad 🙂 ) Suing them would be a waste of my time considering how long the process takes.

You are right though... I gave them 1 too many chances. That was my bad. Like I said, lesson learned.

Good man. Sounds like you've got yourself a nice garage TV now, and a good reason to go out and get a bigger and better set.

sorry to hear about your plasma. I had similar problem with the maid when I first got my LCD. We just told them to not use any cleaning solution and just use water with the cleaning cloth I provided.

They have followed the instructions without any problems.

do they work for a cleaning company? long shot, but maybe they carry some kind of insurance for damage.

The company is owned by an older woman who has her daughter run the day-to-day operations. I have already called her and she claims her girls did take the sheet off but didn't touch the TV.

I've also informed them I won't be using their services any longer.

I gotta say, you're taking this alot better than I would. I am sure if they are from some cleaning company, a quick call from you or a lawyer, and a settlement for damages would be reached without the headache of going to court. Chances are yours isn't the first (or last) flat panel tv they've fubar'd.
Since you're willing to turn the other cheek for yourself, think of the next customer who get's these stooges as cleaners.
A call to the company is free, and it sounds like it could give you some closure.
nm: posted this just after you posted yours..

I would not assume covering it with a white sheet would mean "don't touch".

This.

I large note with DO NOT CLEAN along with the white sheet would have done the job.

just get a pitbull and shorten its leash just long enough that its within the perimeter of the tv/entertainment center. then nobody would dare come near it. of course i highly recommend keeping the tv turned off, because if the dog is anything like mine if it see's another dog on tv it'll start barking at it and putting snot bubbles all over your screen.

is it too hard just to clean on the weekends? i would be scared of a cleaning crew in my house stealing shit.

Those scrathes were there already, cleaning just remove the gunk preventing you from seeing them.

Seriously, if your floor can't handle a vacuum cleaner being moved accross it without getting scratched, than it's a cheap ass floor. Don't blame the cleaners because of your cheap ass floor.
