Look on a bright side. Now you can replace your old POS car with a newer POS car. It all works out

OP, yeah, I think it's probably totalled. You're probably looking at at least ohhh $900 in parts alone(being conservative), and a good 8 hour day or so to get it all installed.

Worse yet is your insurance probably isn't going to cover it, unless you've got comp and collision on there, instead of just liability. Comp and collision tend to be a waste on older cars like that (I don't carry it on my 95 Mitsu truck). And you're probably not going to get anything out of the Festiva guys insurance either.

naw, you can't really see much damage aside from a few small dents on his fender and his right front wheel with a flat tire; but he has snapped tire rod, steering shaft, drive shaft... yeahhhh...

I was going to say - isn't a festiva one of those cars that would lose in a head-on collision with a neighborhood dog?

well basically he sideswiped me and rode on top of my car which, if it was any other car would have done a BOATLOAD more damage, did the current damage.

It isn't the cellphones. It's the dickweeds using them when they're piloting a multi-thousand pound machine at significant speed.

Oh noes!!!! I lawn that deviates from a perfect green shade! Yeah, that warrants loads of water.
Hah, the lawn out here is about 40% weeds anyway. I'm glad we're not in one of those crazy neighborhoods that has 500 pages of regulations on how the lawns are supposed to look.

Sure doesn't look good though. Hopefully your insurance doesn't go up, since you weren't even in the car when this happened.
